The hotel is located in the heart of Malaga’s old town, close to the city’s main tourist attractions: Larios Street, the Picasso Museum and the Alcazaba. It is also close to the beach and Malaga’s port and a few metres from the city’s main shopping and leisure venues.

Facing the well-known "Tribuna de los Pobres", a staircase made famous during Malaga’s Easter Week parades, the Kris Tribuna Hotel opened in June 2005. It is housed in a modest but attractive 4-storey building with a salmon coloured façade and wrought iron balconies. It houses 43 well equipped guest rooms. The hotel offers a comprehensive buffet breakfast every morning. The cellar also boasts the archaeological remains of an 11th century Nazarí wall, which now forms part of the meeting room (the Muslim Nazarí dynasty once ruled the city.)
